D. A. McGrath was born in Chester, England and has spent over 20 years working in the NHS as an accountant. Whilst she never thought that she would ever want to work at anything else ;) Donna loved reading and writing as a child and has continued to consume books throughout her adult life. She started writing again in 2011 as a hobby.

After completing two works of fiction for children, and starting a third; Donna realised that she enjoyed writing children’s stories more than anything else in the world and decided to do it professionally from the beginning of 2017.

Since then, Donna has refreshed and re-published her first two books ‘Under the Light of a Full Moon’, in Sept 2017, and ‘A Gypsy Curse’, in Feb 2018, adding in new chapters of exciting story line and amazing new cover designs. She has also published a brand new book in the 'Full Moon' series called ‘A Gypsy Secret’ (published July 2018), and has outlines for a fourth and fifth book, to follow.
