There exists an ancient brotherhood of heroes charged with protecting humanity from the ever-encroaching evil born of darkness and silence.

They were once men, but are no longer. They are known as Les Gargouilles, the Gargoyles, but only by those who know they exist. Everyone else has other names for them—vigilante, guardian, protector.

Garin was a Prussian soldier who died in the 15th century, the last descendant of Burchard I. His body is buried in the Berlin cathedral but his spirit lives inside the stone sarcophagus of a gargoyle on the outside of the Reichstag building.
Carolina (Lina) Becker is a Berlin cop who killed a man in the middle of a psycho-social episode and was vilified by the national media. An outlier on the force, and a loner by nature, she does not want the kind of trouble Garin represents.
But like the song says, you can’t always get what you want. And sometimes law and order needs a little help from a man who never played by the rules a day in his life.

Evil dies.
Stone endures.
