The Lullabyer is dead, slain by invading crusaders, his soul stored in a magical crystal.

And there is no one left to sing the Lullaby …

No one except a young monk named Pahu Opherio, son of the Lullabyer.

But he is on the far side of the war-torn island.

And only a band of disillusioned smugglers can possibly bring him the crystal in time,

so that he can learn the Lullaby and pacify the dreaded Sleepers.

Hunted every step of the way by beasts, ghosts and the enemy army,
