The Slow Road to Siena: Walking the Via Francigena through the Heart of Tuscany

Echo Krisko
Echo Krisko, CFP®, MS, is a seasoned financial advisor, writer, spiritual seeker, and co-founder of WISE360, a mission-driven financial wellness firm dedicated to redefining the meaning of true wealth. With nearly two decades of experience in the financial industry spanning from a global firm to her own independent registered investment advisory practice, Echo came to a pivotal realization: true wealth is not measured solely by numbers on a balance sheet, but by the integration of purpose, presence, and contribution across all dimensions of life.
This insight became the cornerstone of the WISE360 True Wealth Philosophy, the belief that we do not achieve true wealth until we can live mindfully and purposefully, while advancing not only our own well-being but the well-being of others.
Her debut memoir, The Slow Road to Siena, a #1 New Release in Tuscany Travel on Amazon, brings this philosophy to life. Chronicling an 85-mile pilgrimage along Italy’s ancient Via Francigena with her husband, Kevin, the book explores what unfolds when we choose the “slow road,” one that invites reflection, connection, and a deeper understanding of prosperity beyond accumulation.
Based in Virginia, Echo’s mission is to inspire a global audience to see money differently and live purposefully. She is currently working on several writing projects that weave together travel, nature, spiritual reflection, personal financial well-being, and the wisdom found in everyday life. Whether walking a medieval trail, tending her garden, or building WISE360, Echo’s life reflects her guiding belief: true wealth grows from the inside out, through mindfulness, purpose, and meaningful contribution.
