Janie Owens is traditionally and self-published, sometimes under the name Elizabeth. Llewellyn Worldwide released her first of five instructional books in 2000. How To Communicate With Spirits won the Coalition of Visionary Resources 2002 Visionary Award for Biographical/Personal Book. She is now under the wing of Next Chapter Publishing for the release of her first inspirational series.

Some of Janie's interests are reading, painting, and travel. Janie and her husband Vincent believe in adoption of animals. Consequently, they have a houseful of furbabies. Both cats and dogs reside in (mostly) peaceful conditions in their large central Florida home. However, if you've ever owned Chihuahuas, you know that quiet is not often heard. Bina and Peewee keep life interesting for the cats.
