“Do you know what this is?” Sam’s older stepbrother asked, showing him a buttplug that Sam found all too familiar. They were both home for the holidays, and Matt's demeanour didn’t seem to have improved during their six months apart.

“No,” Sam said, trying to pretend ignorance.

“It’s yours. I know it is.”

“Why bother asking if you already know?” Sam asked.

“None of your business,” Sam said, trying to remain calm.

Matt could be a pain in the ass if he thought he could gain something, and blackmail wasn’t beneath him. They had constantly been at odds after their parents fell in love and moved into Matt’s father’s house. Matt had disliked Sam from day one, and Sam returned the feeling. After they left home, they avoided each other unless their parents insisted they drop by.
