Author biography

My name is Solomon Merid. I am an Ethiopian writer who lives in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. I am 59 years old. I have a B.Sc. in physics, with minor in mathematics, from the Addis Ababa University. I worked as a physics teacher in a number of high schools in Ethiopia. I was a physics instructor in the Ethiopian Air Force for two years. I also worked for four years as a seismic data processor for the National Oil and Gas Exploration Project of Ethiopia. I was trained by American seismic data processors. A huge reserve of natural gas was discovered in the Ogaden desert by a team of Russian geophysicists and geologists when I was working there. We used an advanced, sophisticated, state-of-the-art minicomputer with an Apollo Array Processor built by Raytheon Data System of the U.S. I love reading science fiction and fantasy novels and other good novels including mystery novels. I also love watching the news and science fiction and fantasy movies on TV.

I like to watch birds and pigeons who come to feed on breadcrumbs in my garden.

I also go swimming regularly and exercise for half an hour to forty-five-minutes every morning except on Sunday.
