The End of Recidivism: The Ultimate Guide to Transforming the Mind of the Incarcerated
Gregory S. LaBeet
Gregory S. LaBeet is a seasoned API inspector in the oil and gas industry and CEO of Third Party Inspection Services. After serving 10 years in the system, he broke his cycle of recidivism to become a successful entrepreneur and multiple property owner. Gregory is a member of numerous prison reform and support groups, including The Prison Entrepreneurship Program. Gregory has mentored over a thousand prisoners and ex-offenders to transform their own lives.
Born on St. Croix in the US Virgin Islands, Gregory moved to Texas at the age of ten with his mother and five siblings. When his parents separated, his mother was left to care for the large family with no formal education. Often working at fast-food restaurants to make ends meet, they fluctuated in and out of homeless shelters.
By seventh grade, Gregory dropped out of school, started selling drugs, and burglarizing homes to provide for himself. He was incarcerated in the Texas Youth Commission twice before for possession of a controlled substance and a home invasion. After serving three years, he quickly fell back into the cycle of drugs and violence, ultimately serving an additional seven years as an adult in state prison for shooting two rival gang members.
Committed to turning his life around, Gregory spent his time in prison preparing for a better life after release.
Post release, he has received certification and training at the Alvin Technical Training Center and the American Petroleum Institute. He now owns three companies, lakefront and beachfront properties, and lives life so abundantly that no one cares about his past incarceration.
Married to his best friend, Gregory enjoys traveling in his RV, hiking at state and national parks, and playing fantasy football. Learn more at gregorylabeet.com.
