SYNOPSIS

Meet our protagonist, Jonathan.

Our story begins when a book-signing event at the Cedarbrae Country Club in Toronto, Ontario, disrupts Jonathan's weekly game. His playing partners decide to forego their weekly game in order to study the new book. Upset that his friends could be duped into believing the book will help them, Jonathan confronts the author and accuses him of misleading golfers into believing the game is "all in their head." Frustrated at having to waste an afternoon, Jonathan storms off to spend the afternoon on the practice range.

After the book-signing event, the author seeks out Jonathan and offers to compensate for disrupting his game by accompanying Jonathan as he plays nine holes. Swallowing his anger, Jonathan agrees to the offer in order to prove conclusively the author is a fraud.

Now the story begins...

After a disastrous start, Jonathan vents his frustration on the golf course.

Ignoring the outburst, the author asks Jonathan a series of silly questions which gradually reveal the unconscious beliefs that trap him in an endless cycle of fault-finding and error correction. As the game progresses, Jonathan's frustration gradually subsides as the authors' "third degree" questioning reveals the unconscious beliefs that have stymied Jonathan's improvement.
