Robert was born in Buffalo, NY, and grew up in L.A., where he worked in film and television as well as advertising. He moved to the Bay Area in the 1980s and continued working in advertising, including senior creative roles at Saatchi & Saatchi, Landor, and Foote, Cone & Belding.

"Fast, Beautiful and Dangerous," the first of two books set in the world of classic cars, was published by TouchPoint Press in 2019. The second book, "The Beauty in the Bay," will be published in 2021. "Murder Goes On Tour," a standalone mystery, was published by Gumshoe, a Next Chapter imprint, in 2021.

Bob lives on a dead-end street in the Oakland hills, pilots a vintage Alfa Romeo coupe through the blind curves that lie just ahead, and is currently at work on his next novel.
