M.S. Avery is the writer of the novel "Shadows of Carath" and the novella "Day Zero: Catalyst Crew," under the pseudonym S. Donovan Croft, and is the founder of Weapons of Legend Publishing. As S. Donovan Croft, he contributed to Quanta Publishing's Sci-Fi/Fantasy anthologies "Stranded," "Amazing Robots," and "Noblesse Oblige Stellaris," edited by Page Zaplendam. He also contributed to the Lemur Throne's Sci/Fantasy anthology "Tales from the Lemurverse: In the Midst of a River," edited by Clayton Barnett, the "Marathonarium Two" anthology, and the "Marathonarium Three anthology, both edited by Stephen Zimmer. He will also participate in "Marathonarium Four" and two other anthologies from Quanta Publishing and the Lemur Throne.

 A member of "the Lemurs," a group of writers who support other writers and creatives, Mark is a co-host of "The Conspiring Lemurs Podcast." 

Avery served twelve years in the Army National Guard and is a decorated Veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan. He is a former Corrections officer who works in Law Enforcement, serving nearly three decades combined. Mark has been married to the same amazing woman for over thirty years, and they have five wonderful children. He currently resides in South Carolina.
