Ashes To Ashes: On September 11, 2001, When the Twin Towers Fell, Where Most People Saw Tragedy, One Man Saw Opportunity
Deborah C Sawyer
Deborah C. Sawyer is the author of several books, including both fiction and non-fiction (business) books. She is also the author of numerous professional articles, published in journals and magazines and, occasionally, she writes short forms of fiction and essays. Her novels are set in what she refers to as 'near-history'; times that are still within living memory for many people but, at the same time, are receding, meaning we quickly forget how things were. This is particularly true of the technology that appears in her novels. While it was never intentional, all 3 of her most recent novels touch upon themes of death, disappearance and deception, but not necessarily in that order. She also writes about characters who keep to themselves, in other words, loners. A frquently under-appreciated and misunderstood segment of the population. For that reason, her fiction work could be described as "loner lit". So, does that make Deborah Sawyer the Queen of Loner Lit? Stay tuned for her upcoming novels...
