Julia Rohatyn is the pen name of a woman who managed hotels in major Israeli cities and who makes her suspense novels zing with the fascinating world behind the scenes in real life hotels. She grew up in Boston and many of her books are set in New England. Her early books are all hotel mysteries. The newest novel, planned for early 2019, will surprise loyal fans. One of the hotel characters has become a private detective and her first job will take her to the Middle East. Wait for it!

Today, retired after many years in the tourism business and a short period in an elected community position, she finds the time to do what she has wanted for years - to write novels and to spend time with her children and her grandchildren. She lives in a communal settlement near Jerusalem.
