Jesalyn's family have sent her off to be gainfully employed by the Steeds, an eccentric, enigmatic Viscount and Viscountess.

Though the chaste, inexperienced, virginal, and innocent Jesalyn is assured her that her new job will be strict and austere, observing all propriety, she soon finds that is anything but the case.

The Lord and Lady Steed have uncommonly familiar terms with their servants, and plan to make Jesalyn no exception.

She decides to investigate upon being awoken in the night by unsual noises upstairs, and what she finds will both shock her sense of propriety and bring forth forbidden desires that Jesalyn is eager to satisfy.
