On the day Tomas Pope was kidnapped by the Taliban, if they would’ve told him all he had to do was denounce Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and he would go free, he would have done so in the blink of an eye and never look back.

But his captors had waited until three days of being beaten within an inch of his life to tell him that. It was then that he realized he wasn't sure he could do it because the pain he experienced at the hands of his captors was nothing compared to the torture he was feeling within at the thought of denying what he truly was.
