Neither conceived by the Holy Spirit and nor born by the Virgin Mary, AJ de Faria grew up in middle America. When he asked about his ancestral heritage, his mother responded he was four-fifths German and a fifth of Scotch. The fifth of Scotch explained how he came into being, but it would take decades to discover the rest of his ancestry.

Earning degrees in education, religion, philosophy, history, and literary analysis; AJ spent time as a minister, an educator, and an Executive Officer for a Fortune 500 company. Taking early retirement, he pursued his quest to discover his ancestry. An ancestral bloodline which encountered an unbelievable list of historical figures. The brief list includes Daniel Boone, Robert Paine, Benedict Arnold, Ethan Allen, Henry ‘Light-horse’ Lee, Aaron Burr, Maximillian Robespierre, Robert Owen, William Godwin, Mary Wollstonecraft, Percy Shelley, and finally, Mary Shelley.

AJ de Faria is the nom de plume of Francis Nikolos Steiner, or Frank N Steiner. His bloodline stretches back Mary Shelley, the author of Frankenstein. He had the education, the ancestry, and most certainly the name; it was time to marry them and draft a book continuing his families’ legacy in the literary world.
