Ursula Burger, known affectionately as Ursie Wursie, is a children’s author with a passion for simplifying the complexities of the adult world. She aims to enrich relationships within families through her passion for rhymes.

Inspired by the intrinsic and creative artistic ability of children, Ursula seeks to provide a space to celebrate children’s art and share it with the public. Each of her books are illustrated by children in support of this ambition.

Using her experiences living in 15 states and Germany, Ursula is dedicated to bringing the lives of the working class to children. Her previous work in a gold mine led her to write a book explaining the laboratory process of turning rocks into gold. Like others written by Ursula, this book encourages questions and conversation between adults and children. 

Ursie has a giving heart. The Elko POW/MIA organization, Crescent Valley Gymkhana, and Animal House Rescue & Sanctuary have recognized Ursula for her philanthropic efforts. She enjoys incorporating her community into her work.

Ursula is committed to finding resources to improve the lives of veterans, homeless teens, and animals. You can find her in mismatched polka dotted socks, reading Dr. Seuss, puddle jumping, or chasing dragonflies.
