“Hey, Ryker,” Adam said as he placed his hand on Ryker’s right shoulder. “What’s up, man?”

Adam heard him growl. He sounded more like an animal than a man. Before he managed to think about it, Ryker turned and pulled him around the corner into a small alcove, hiding them from being seen from the door.
