So it was a one time thing. Or so Mary Jane thought about what happened between her and her student Ben last week. She thought she found a way to just... never deal with it, however high handed it was. She thought she was so clever until Ben got under her skin, zeroing in on her biggest weakness. I gave a start. "Yes?"
Oh God, how long was I daydreaming?
"You feeling all right?"
"Yes. Yes, of course."
He inclined his head and I caught my breath. So unfair that he was so beautiful.
"You look a bit... I don't know how to say it."
I couldn't take it, my eyes dropped to my chest, thinking that sudden spike in my heartbeat was loud enough for him to hear it. There was something in the way he said that, something in his eyes when he said what he just said that made me tremble, my body yearning in a way that made me finally knew what the word meant.
I caught the sight of my open shirt, the temp butterfly tattoo I had dabbed on just under the collar. Shame flooded inside me as I recalled how carefully I had done so, desperate to find things to surprise him, entice him — should he ever come to our private session...
Under the open collar I could even see my lacy red bra peeking, my shallow, quick breath making the creamy softness of my breasts seemed like they were bursting.
When I looked up I saw that he was staring as well and for a long second our eyes met, my throat dry at the look in his dark, dark eyes.
Then he spoke, cool as cucumber. "I was saying, Ms. Carter, I'm awfully sorry but I need to go home earlier."
"Oh? Earlier?" I clamped a hand over the other on my lap as I heard myself speaking, breathless and foolish.
Unreadable, his eyes rested on mine, his voice even and mild. "I was in a rush coming here and we got to work immediately, otherwise I would have told you sooner."
"Oh. Is there an emergency...?" It was a stupid question but my brains had stopped working and I wished I could speak without having my face in plain sight, the way heat was creeping up my cheeks I knew I was making a fool of myself.
His eyes seemed to roam slightly, too, inching slowly down my neck where the blush was coming, then up again to my cheekbones. I remembered he had kissed me that way too, those warm lips creating a moist trail down my jaw...
I closed my thighs, mortified that the first hint of wetness was that quick.
