Mike Farris
Multi-time published author Mike Farris is a retired attorney, whose last jury trial related to profits from the publication of the "Fifty Shades of Grey" trilogy, and resulted in a $13.2 million judgment in favor of his client. He then collaborated with his client to write a book about the case, the award-winning "Fifty Shades of Black and White: Anatomy of the Lawsuit Behind a Publishing Phenomenon." Film rights to Mike's non-fiction book "A Death in the Islands: The Unwritten Law and the Last Trial of Clarence Darrow" have been optioned by two of the screenwriters of the Disney box office hit "Moana," who also wrote and co-produced the recent feature film "Adrift." In addition to writing in his retirement, Mike is a book reviewer for the New York Journal of Books and is an adjunct professor of Constitutional Law at The University of Texas at Arlington.
