Jess Whitby lives in Yorkshire, England with her beloved dog. She used to be a Youth Worker and now works as a Therapist.

Her first full-length novel, Running From Dust, was released in June 2019. Whitby won a number of awards for writing fiction as a child but then gave up as an adult. She recently re-started writing and now can't stop.

Edgy Tales : Short Stories From The Brink is the first of several collections of short stories from the edges of "normal" life. She is also in the process of writing two full length-novels.

"I'm inspired by authors like Peter James and C J Tudor who can create a scene that is completly normal and yet so engrossing you just have to read more. I also love what I would call realistic supernatural stories. In other words, the sort of stories that are everyday, not set in a deserted cabin somewhere that you would have to be half mad to go near."
