The power of real estate escapes most. The power lies not in the homes but in the options these homes provide. Learning about real estate investing can assist even the layman in building a small real estate portfolio.

Why is real estate important for the long term? It helps increase our net worth, our cash flow and protects us from inflation. When talking to real estate professionals, we need to understand what is going on in these meetings.

Reading investing, business, and real estate books will give us the knowledge to start on our path to becoming intermediate real estate investors. We do not need to own tons of properties, just enough to get a healthy amount of cash flow.
