Synopsis –

My Shitty Life, is a harrowing yet simply written, unapologetically true account of just how Shitty my life really was and how I hit rock bottom as a result of it.

It follows the life of an unwanted and emotionally starved child who was placed in Voluntary Out-Of-Home Care, ( informal foster care) and left to be shunted between sadistic informal foster families before being lost in the system.

This is an inspiring story of how one person, who, in spite of horrific abuse and being denied justice, never lost faith in humanity. She has dedicated her adult life to trying to make a difference by using her trauma to support others as a "Lived Experience" Survivor and advocating for much-needed legal changes for victims of sexual abuse and their families.

I have survived every challenge life has thrown at me, and I'm not afraid to admit that I have hit Rock Bottom more times than I'd like to remember, yet here I am, still standing, and still fighting. Even though life's challenges might be difficult, they also help us become stronger, so have faith in yourself and have courage; believe me, you will overcome this and emerge stronger than before!
