Neil (MJC) Herbst is a passionate Christian author dedicated to helping individuals move past their deepest wounds to live in their God-given identity.

Neil's own journey, marked by struggles with self-worth, the deep pain of loss, and the cycle of shame, provides the honest, compassionate foundation for this book. He understands firsthand the feeling of being trapped in a "first chapter" that needs divine rewriting. His life's mission is to point others to Jesus Christ, the Divine Editor who replaces hearts of stone with hearts of flesh.   

He holds a Diploma in Ministry and has dedicated two decades of his life to spiritual formation, serving in youth ministry and leadership roles.   

Neil lives in Cape Town, South Africa with his wife, Marinda. When he's not writing, he enjoys hiking, reading theological works, and practicing photography.
