After an unsuccessful suicide attempt on New Year’s Eve, Valentina Binotte returns to where she feared she would never go again: back home to Cordeaux, her childhood village hidden away in the remote mountains of Corsica.

It isn’t long however before Valentina discovers that life in the mountains is very different from her life in Paris. Not only must she and her sister Shana rebuild friendships with their old time companions but they must also hold onto their delicate hearts, as their peaceful escape quickly becomes a winter from hell.

In this dark tale of one girl’s journey into the past in order to reclaim the future, hearts will be broken, friendships marred and families will clash as the quest for truth drives them all apart.
