He also knew that I spoke perfect English. One day, he sent one of his adjutants and invited me to join him. Out of respect for him, I went to visit him without wasting any time. When he was informed that I had arrived, I was immediately admitted to his room without any waiting. Mr. Rıza stood up from his chair and greeted me as soon as I entered the door of the room.

He reached out and shook my hand.

"Hello Mr. Ahmet Esat, welcome."

"Welcome, Mr. Rıza, it has been a long time since we met, right?"

"Master, friendships are beyond the concept of time and space, you know that too.

However, it is up to you not to let us forget your face by visiting us from time to time.

"You'll have coffee, right?"

"Yes thank you."

"How do you take your coffee?"

"Keep it simple please."

"I guess it must have surprised you that I invited you to the government gate in such a hurry, as if I were arresting you."

"Truth, it would be a lie if I said I wasn't surprised, Mr. Rıza."

"So let me get right to the point. Does the name General Tawshen mean anything to you?"

"We do not know him, but I have heard of him. I know that he started preparations for rebellion against the Turkish rule among the tribes in Arabia and caused chaos. I think our government arrested him at one point, right?"

"No, the person arrested was not the general himself, but Mister Toret, one of his think tanks. But he was released again after a short time."

"Why?"

"Of course, we did not have enough evidence, and the pressure from the British government was on us."

"So, the outcome?"

"As a result, General Tawshen and this person whose name I mentioned were recently arrested again and brought to Istanbul. They are currently detained in the Bekir Agha division.
