J. D. Willd is the author of more than thirty-six novels, five collections of poetry, and three children's books. He lives in Richmond, Virginia. And when he is not busy writing, he works with the American Cancer Society to help find a cure for cancer. A cause he joined proudly after the death of his mother in 2009 from "Lung Cancer". Several of Willd's poems have been used by "ACS" to help further the fight against cancer, including "Birthdays" a poem inspired by the "more birthdays" campaign. “True Love” was his first novel, and holds a special place in his heart.
