Kelly's roommate Adam doesn't know about her pastime of taking nude pictures of herself. The story opens with him walking in on her while she is self-restrained to her bed and needing his help to get the key to her cuffs. He unlocks her wrist and ankle cuffs, casually offers his services helping her take pictures in the future, then carries on with his day as if nothing interesting happened.

Adam's cool demeanor bothers her. Initially, she wants to move out, but that's not in the cards for her due to finances. She thinks that she needs to prove to him that she isn't bothered by what happened, even though she saw and felt evidence of his attraction to her when he freed her.

Kelly decides to take him up on his offer to take pictures of her, hoping that it might restore the balance in the relationship in her mind. It doesn't end up just being one photoshoot though; it turns out to be a daily affair.

Along the way, Kelly and Adam gradually become physically closer. Her own attraction to him puts her in a quandary, as she is hung up on the fact that they are roommates, and if they were to become romantically involved, then they would be stuck living together.

Boundaries are set; she tells him that he can feel free to do anything they've done before, or if she's told him that she wants him to do it.

One day, Kelly is completely restrained, ballgagged, and blindfolded, when she realizes a little too late that he has misunderstood her wants. The story doesn't end there, however, because she becomes very confused about what she wants, and she doesn't tell Adam that there was a misunderstanding…
