Gail Crane writes romance novels and short stories inspired by the moors and coast of Exmoor where she lives. Her short stories have been published in magazines and as collections in books.
 
Her fascination with the history and legends of Exmoor inspire her non-fiction work: The Murder of Anna Maria, the true story of notorious Exmoor murderer, William Burgess, and “Stained Glass in Exmoor Churches”, an illustrated exploration of the people and stories behind the images in church windows.
 
In 2014 she completed a BA (Hons) degree with Open University studying creative writing, and is a member of the Alliance of Independent Authors.
