Valerie B. Williams came to writing late in life but is making up for lost time. Her short fiction has been published by Flame Tree Press, Dark Recesses Press, Grendel Press, and Death Knell Press, among others. The Vanishing Twin is her debut novel.

Valerie is an Active member of the Horror Writers Association (HWA). As part of the HWA Mentorship program, she studied with Bram Stoker Award-winning author Tim Waggoner over a four-month period. In addition to many craft classes, she also participated in two sessions of an intensive, ten-week speculative fiction workshop, Fright Club.

Valerie lived in Europe and many places in the U.S. while growing up in an Air Force family. She now resides in central Virginia with her very patient husband and equally patient Golden Retriever. When not writing, she can be found reading and drinking either tea or wine, depending on the time of day.
