After chuckling to himself at the thought of creating a large and mischievous hamster, Hayden Parent joined the idea to his disdain for con artists and fraudsters, and wrote The Tricksters, a fantasy comedy of love, friendship, action, and adventure.

He is presently working on his second novel, a science fiction comedy drama with a thread of mystery. When he’s not, you can find him on haydenparent.com, his website of analysis, humour, and memory lane.

He loves cricket, soccer, and rugby World Cups; roleplay video games; audiobooks, both fiction and non-fiction; old-style historical documentaries; and swimming.

Hayden lives in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal with his wife Lynn, who is a teacher, and their mad cat Scrappy.
