About the author

Alison Ford

Alison Ford (1973 - ) is an author who is Canadian by birth but has called many places home in her lifetime. She currently lives in the UK, in a small but "vibrant and bohemian" village that is "rich in character, and accepting of its characters!". It is very easy to live a creative life in these surroundings -- and in fact, it is actively encouraged.  That's good because she is happiest when being creative, which includes a love of knitting, graphic art, and needlework.  Her favorite color? "Hard-candy orange".

She has always been fascinated with air travel and planes and realized her dream of becoming a flight attendant while living in Toronto in her mid-20's. There was "no better way" to go to work, she says, and those memories of ending up in far-flung places, especially when seen for the first time -- are truly the best ones.  "We are at our most alive in new places, with all our senses heightened", she believes. Making travel plans to new locations is her chosen adventure.

Her debut publication, the 5-short-book series "New England Skies", is being gradually released in early 2020.
