Romance with a side of Fantasy.

If you're after a spicy novel, I'm here to tell you that this isn't for you.
If you enjoy that kind of story but need a break from the sex, read on.

Michelle lives a life of luxury and abuse, locked away in her own home until she can take no more and runs, having no magic to help her.

Alex lives from day to day, stealing his keep and practicing his fire magic, but he's happy enough with his family around him--even in the slums.

When they meet, and Michelle tells him why she ran away, Alex knows he has to help her. So, he and his family offer her a place to heal. She stays, even knowing she shouldn't.

They're looking, though.

They find her, and when they do, Alex and Michelle are drawn into something much bigger than themselves. War looms on the horizon, plotted by her abusers. Now, helping Michelle isn't his only goal.

This is written in the style of a YA Novel, but handles themes targeted to adults. There are descriptions of and allusions to violence, but no graphic sex scenes. That wouldn't fit the tone of this story. But if you enjoy a good love story and elements of Fantasy, this is the book for you.
