Audrey Driscoll grew up reading books, as interested in how stories were constructed as in how they turned out. She worked up scenes and bits of dialogue in her head, and made her friends act out little dramas based on her favourite books.
 
After establishing a career as a cataloguing librarian—first at the University of Saskatchewan and then at the Greater Victoria Public Library in British Columbia—Audrey wrote and published her first novel, The Friendship of Mortals. It was followed by three others to form the Herbert West Series.
 
In 2018, Audrey published She Who Comes Forth and in 2020, Tales from the Annexe, a collection of short stories. In 2022, she published She Who Returns, the concluding novel for the Herbert West Series and its spinoffs.
 
When she isn't writing or reading, Audrey Driscoll is most probably negotiating with plants in her garden in Victoria, British Columbia.
