Caroline Peters is finally feeling comfortable in her new job at the Federal Paranormal Activities Agency. She's made friends, found a favorite coffee shop, and even started to understand the odd filing system in the archives. Things are definitely looking up until one morning when she finds Darien devastated by the news of his cousin's murder by poison.
As reports of more dead vampires roll in, the whole office pulls together to solve this case, and to watch over their own vampire colleague who seems is just as much at risk as the rest.
