<p>Lucas Schmidt is a western and action/adventure novelist. He grew up in the hill country northwest of San Antonio, Texas, the basis of his novella, Bandit, and graduated from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. His love of writing began in high school, when he read books from Elmore Leonard, Ernest Hemingway, John Steinbeck, Cormac McCarthy and Ray Bradbury. He began writing westerns after enjoying the near-mythical, free rein and adventurous aspects of Wild West novels. </p><p><br></p>
