Debbie Terranova

Debbie Terranova is an Australian author of historical fiction, crime mysteries, and gripping short stories. Her self-styled genre is ‘fiction with a conscience’: stories inspired by true events and controversial issues.&nbsp;She has published four novels and numerous short stories.&nbsp;In 2022, she was awarded a special commendation in the 29th Scarlet Stiletto Awards for her short story, a crime mystery set in the gem-fields of Central Queensland.<br>Debbie is a former HR professional and Research Fellow of the State Library of Queensland. Her formal qualifications are Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Master of Public Administration (MPA).&nbsp;She travels extensively within Australia and overseas, in particular to Europe and the USA. People, places and history inspire and inform her writing. Her writing space in sub-tropical Brisbane is surrounded by trees, kookaburras and parrots.<br>
