Hey, I’m Austin Drummonds. I grew up in a small town in Alabama, raised by my mom and grandparents. I didn’t have a father growing up, but my grandfather filled that role in many ways—he took me hunting, fishing, and exploring the outdoors, and those moments helped shape how I see the world.

I didn’t always like writing. In fact, it was my high school English teacher—who also taught yearbook—who got me into it. She helped me realize that the story I had in my head was worth telling. I'm also studying to become a quantum physicist, and while that might sound like a strange mix, I think storytelling and science have a lot in common. Both start with the same question: What if?
