Krystal M. Chuon

Krystal M. Chuon is a 2nd-generation Khmer/Krom American born and raised in San Francisco. She has always loved reading and drawing since she was young and remembers visiting her local library a lot - even the day she got her first library card. When she learned how to write, she would write a number of short stories (complete with illustrations) using printer paper and staples, creating her earliest "books."<br>​​​​​​​<br>Later in adulthood, she would go on to make zines and eventually self-publish two poetry books: <em>Follow the Mekong Home</em> (2018) and <em>In the Land of Monsoons </em>(2021). She's currently in the midst of returning to her fiction roots with hopes of publishing short stories and a novella soon.<br><br>When she's not writing, you can find her designing jewelry (Mealea Collection), watching horror films, reading spooky and crime fiction, eating Khmer food, and traveling the globe.
