<p>Helen is married and lives with her husband in Renfrewshire. She has two children, one granddaughter and three grandsons. Her family are important to her.</p>
<p>Although born in Glasgow, Helen was brought up in Alwoodley between Leeds and Harrogate. There are no longer any family members left in Yorkshire but she revisits often for research.</p>
<p>Being inspired by Rebecca Shaw’s village series, Helen decided to have a go herself using her own fictitious Yorkshire village of Beckanwood.</p>
<p>When she is not writing she enjoys reading, gardening, baking and anything to do with crafts, online jigsaws and watching TV especially serials and historical documentaries.</p>
<p>This is Helen’s first book but there is a sequel waiting in the wings.</p>
