The "Ergo sum" series of books is my attempt to try a different strategy in the battleground of climate change. As a scientist offering fiction, I try to offer new food for thought. The trilogy is a work of adventure, reflection and hope in a world threatened by selfish denialists.

I have enjoyed writing a new work, "You have arrived at your destination", which takes a satirical look at twenty-first-century life. The story follows a young woman's re-birth into an undiscovered country, her life and the lives of an ancient people. In telling her ultimately triumphant and, at times, humorous story, "destination" contrasts modern life with its technology and creeping dangers, with a simpler life in harmony with the world. It will be released in 2017.

I live in Longmont, Colorado with my lovely wife Terri. I am a father, amateur astronomer, part-time opera singer, hopeless fisherman, as well as a "comedian". I am a solar and climate Scientist at the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colorado.
