While born in Arkansas, Roger is an Idaho boy, having spent most of his childhood and adult life there. His mother, and avid reader herself, passed the interest to him at a young age. He devoured books by Tolkien and others, with his interest leaning toward both science fiction and fantasy. However, his writting career didn't start until later and was inspired by his young daughter who had developed an interest in writing. She challenged him to write a book...and so he did. His wife thought it was good enough to publish...and so he did. Roger continues to write for the enjoyment of family, friends, and whoever else wants to come along for the ride.
