<p>David Dayton retired in 2019 from a 30-year patchwork career in academia and government. The common thread was always writing, editing, and teaching. He has since revived an earlier career as a poet and publisher. The first fruits are this second collection of poems, <em>The Bus to San Simón,</em> and a forthcoming novel, <em>Wideman’s Gospel.</em> His current writing project is a family history and memoir whose working title is <em>Chaplain’s Kid.</em></p>
