Stuart de Jong switched from writing computer software to writing fiction full time in 2023. His debut novel <em>Simon's Run and Other Adventures</em>—a humorous biographical fiction book about a guy with a personality eerily similar to the author's—was published a year later. His next publication was the novel <em>Assassin Lab</em> that was the first installment of the sci-fi thriller/crime book series called Designer Mercenaries.<br><br>Stuart lives in the Seattle area with his wife and three pets. When not writing, he might be found on the road, RVing the western US, or working on a project around the house.
