About the author
T. C. Maloney
Hello! I am T. C. Maloney. My wife and I live near St. Louis, Missouri. We grew up in the area and went to high school together. We moved back a few years ago to be closer to family. We have previously lived in Chicago, the Norfolk, Virginia area, Gainesville, Florida and Gulf Shores, Alabama. We have children and grand-children in Florida, Chicago and here in St. Louis.

For most of my adult life I have served in the U.S. military, both in the Air Force and the Navy, which partially accounts for the many places we have lived. I ended my working career as an accountant. I am now retired.

The following testimoney is an abbreviated version of how I became a born-again Christian. Being born again, accepting Jesus Christ as my Lord and Personal Savior led me to write the three books that are featured here on the Draft2Digital website.

It was Good Friday, 1999, and I had turned 50 in February. Our marriage was surviving, but certainly not without problems. My wife heard of a Passion play at a local church and she asked me to attend with her. Over the past six years, we had attended several different churches in Chicago and Florida and while I knew I needed God in my life, I did not know what definite, concrete steps I needed to be taking.

I knew the story of Jesus, or at least, thought I did. The story unfolded without surprise through Jesus' entry into Jerusalem on the donkey, the washing of the Apostles' feet, The Last Supper, His arrest in the Garden of Gethsemane, and His trial before the High Priest and Pontius Pilate. While the church members were acting out their role in the Passion play, the church's pastor was reading the biblical account of this historical event. When the Cross, with Jesus attached, was raised to a vertical position and the pastor said 'Jesus was crucified for YOUR sins' (while pointing to those in attendance) I became short of breath with my heart pounding and my stomach tied in knots.

You see, I had always been told and always thought that Jesus was killed because of 'our' sins and heaven was earned by being a decent person; by avoiding or confessing any 'mortal' sins. I had heard people talk about 'a personal relationship with Jesus', but did not really understand what that meant. That passion play, in that medium-sized church in that small Florida town was the very first time that it hit me! I came to the realization that Jesus was crucified for MY sins! That small change in pronouns brought about a major change in my life. I could no longer feel safe in the collective group, comparing myself to some person who I supposed to be a bigger sinner than myself. I am the sinner whose sins nailed Jesus to the cross!!
I answered the 'altar call' that night by going forward and committing my life to Jesus Christ. I am now a ‘Born Again Christian.’ I would also like to tell you that from that moment on, life has gone from one high point to another, always getting better; but that would not be true either. There are still problems, trials and tribulations, but they do not seem as difficult to live with or to manage with Jesus by my side. Sometime later I was baptized by immersion in that same Church.

From that Good Friday Passion Play until now, I have worked to get closer to God; to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, to read the Bible and learn more about God's Word. It is work that will never be completed - there is always more to learn from God and about God.

“The Truth About God: How to Find Joy and Peace” (2nd Edition) is now available for your reading pleasure. The Second Editions of both “The Truth About Natural Laws” and “The Truth About Money” are also available.

“The Truth About God” shows God’s plan for each of us, His love and the Eternal Life offered to us by the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ.

“The Truth About Money: How to Find Joy and Peace" was originally published on Smashwords in 2015 and was followed by “The Truth About Natural Laws: How to Find Joy and Peace” and “The Truth About God: How to Find Joy and Peace.”

Together these three make up a series entitled The Truth Trilogy.

Way back in 2005, while taking care of my one-year-old grandson, I felt the call to write a book on personal finances. It took ten years to get that first book researched, written and published. The next two went much faster and both of them were published by mid-2017.

All three books are being reissued as Second Editions to update information, to make them more accurate and more interesting to read.

The themes for all three books are similar: Our Creator gave us Natural Laws or Rules to enable us to successfully live here on earth. Take money, for example: almost everyone would agree that we need to live within our means, yet many of us do not and problems develop, sometimes very serious problems. “The Truth About Money” was the first of The Truth Trilogy precisely because everyone has at least some familiarity with money. This first book was followed by “The Truth About Natural Laws” to highlight the Truth that there is Right and Wrong - Good and Evil - and if we are to find Joy and Peace here on earth, we must live by the Rules. To be certain, we can live our whole lives not following the Rules, but the Joy and Peace we are meant to enjoy will most likely elude us.

I would greatly appreciate your review of any or all of the books. Please feel free to review the book or get in touch with me at the website (www.MeetTheTruth.net) and let me know what you think of it.

It is my hope you enjoy the books and I look forward to your feedback and thoughts.
Thank You.
T. C. Maloney
