<p>Born in San Carlos, Uruguay, Ruben Alfonz has spent years writing stories that move between the quiet tension of small towns and the darker corners people try not to talk about. His work includes poetry and fiction published under the names Ruben Alfonz and Pablo Alfonso.</p><p>He writes about ordinary lives pushed to the edge, about fears that crawl underneath everything instead of screaming, and about the strange ways people survive what should break them.</p><p>This is his first novel translated into English.</p><p></p><p> </p>
