<p>Joan Hazel is a native of Corinth, Mississippi. She is an accomplished actress and vocalist who has performed with theater and opera companies across the eastern United States. She has also worked as a show director and vocal director throughout her 15 year theatrical career.</p>

<p>The Last Guardian is Hazel's first published novel. Her work ranges from historical fiction, crime thrillers, science fiction, and fantasy.</p>

<p>In addition to Hazel's artistic work, she is a Reiki Master, Toe Reader, and Soul Coach. She is also passionate about the protection of animals and she supports a variety of animal conservation efforts.</p>

<p>She currently resides in Deland, Florida with her husband and their two dogs. </p>
