About the author

Peter Alienz

“Make Trumpsylvania Great Again”, the first book of the “Purple Supremacy” series, is authored by accomplished writers, debuting under a pseudonym in the genre of poetic satire.

The authors, Peter and Josephine Alienz, believe that satire’s role is not only to make us laugh, but to make us think for ourselves and to encourage us to look at the world through our own eyes.

This conviction of the life-transforming power of satire is illuminating every word that they write.

As one of their favorite writers, E.L. Doctorow, said: “Satire’s nature is to be one- sided, contemptuous of ambiguity, and so unfairly selective as to find in the purity of ridicule an inarguable moral truth.”

The enriching experience of having lived in many countries and being multilingual, and multicultural, has afforded the authors a unique perspective on what's happening in our country today.

And their satirical lens, polished by such giants of poetry and satire as Nobel Prize Laureate Joseph Brodsky, Sergei Dovlatov, and Konstantin Kuzminsky, exposes the hypocrisy and confronts the mediocracy of our modern-day life in a way that’s both unapologetically humorous, and insightful.

The authors’ prose and poetry have been published in the highly regarded Anthology of Modern Russian Literature, “The Blue Lagoon”, among many other notable publications.

Peter and Josephine Alienz live in Monarch Beach, California, and are currently working on the second book in the series, called “Purple Supremacy Strikes Back.”
