<p>Barry used to have a very different career, making noises on computers and teaching others how to record and edit sound. Even now, he still composes music and sells it online.</p>
<p>Then, in 2018, he developed myalgic encephalomyelitis, also called ME. This stopped him doing all sorts of things, from working, flying aeroplanes, or doing sport. </p>
<p>Thankfully, it didn't stop him from writing, though it slows him down a bit. These days, he's got 3,203 different book ideas, two cats who think he should be feeeding them instead, and a loving family.</p>
