<p>Joy Llewellyn spent much of her childhood living in an isolated fly-in bush camp in northern Canada where she developed an appreciation for wild spaces, mosquito repellant, and adventure books. She promised herself that when she grew up, she would feed her rebel adventure yearnings and voyage around the world. She has since travelled to over 30 countries and herded goats in France, was a governess in Australia, lived in a Tibetan Buddhist Monastery in Kathmandu, Nepal, and hiked thousands of kilometres on different Camino routes in France and Spain.
